FAQ's

IT'S PAPER, WON'T IT DETERIORATE?

We use 100% acid-free cotton fibers to make our paper. All your good art paper and books are made with 100% acid-free cotton fibers. It's the acid in the paper that allows it to deteriorate.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF THE ART?

CLEANING

Use a soft brush, feather duster, or even a vacuum with a soft brush attachment.

LOCATION

We have done all that we can, but you still need to respect the art. Ambient light will be OK, it's the direct beating sun for long periods that is harmful. Again, treat it like all of your other good art.

CAN I PUT IT OVER A FIREPLACE?

Yes! We need to know that ahead of time and will put spacers on the back so the art is away from the wall or stone.

CAN I USE IT IN THE BATHROOM?

Of course! You are there every day, and why not look at beautiful art! Shower steam is fine. You may want to consider a matte resin or gloss resin finish, but not necessary.

HOW ABOUT HUMIDITY?

The papers are all sealed. Gloss or Matte Resin is even more impenetrable. These pieces are not for outside beauty. Strictly indoors. Just an assumption, but most of us live in AC.

CAN I JUST BUY THE PAPERS FROM YOU?

Thanks for your interest, but we make our paper strickly for our art.

WHAT'S THAT THING ON THE BACK OF YOUR ART?

That "thing" is called a "chop". It is used in Japan (and other Asian countries) for "signing" a payment slip at a bank. We had the privilege of going to Japan in 2005. We couldn't pass up the opportunity of having one made for us.

It is a combination of both of our names and has a loose translation of "blessing go out and come back double"
