my artistic heart

 

In putting together the LIBRARY OF OUR ART, there were many different styles that came about over the 35 years of creating. I wanted to give you a lot of choices but then realized that it is not only better but essential that I give you the styles where my "heart, spirit, and enthusiasm" lies.  That's what grabs you to buy original art. If I'm not "into it", then you won't receive all the beauty that original art has to offer.

 

There have been several changes in the styles over the years, sometimes drastic. This is because my heart was no longer there. I was simply a technician. Yes, honing the technique is essential, but staying curious is much more important to me as an artist. The funny thing is, that when I'm working in a certain style, it is consuming, it's all I want to explore. When the exploration is over, so is that style inside of me.

People have asked, "Could you re-create a previous style?" I'd love to be able to say "Sure", but for me, it just doesn't work that way. That was then and now is now, and they are different voices.

In choosing images for the LIBRARY OF OUR ART, I asked one question: "Would I be happy, excited, and inspired when creating this concept again?"

 

This collection is a definite "YES!"
